Senior Operations Logistician

Currently we are seeking a Senior Operations Logistician individual at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, MD supporting the PMA-266 Program Office.  This position works closely with the MQ-9 Product Support Manager and the MQ-9 IPM IPT on cradle-to-grave logistics management of sustainment products and involves product coordination, planning and management with multiple Deputy Assistant Program Managers, Logistics (DAPMLs), other logistics team members, IPT members, functional Logistics Element Managers (LEMs), Fleet Support Teams, and other military services, including Fleet Readiness Centers (FRCs) and commercial repair activities as necessary.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

In support of MQ-9 Avionics Systems, the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

·Integrated Product Support Management

·  Develop and implement product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned systems to achieve program

 goals and objectives while minimizing life cycle cost.

·Identify, plan and execute logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total system life cycle (i.e. acquisition

and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements. Implement a plan of action and milestones (POA&M) in

support of the logistics program.

·  Develop and review program technical documentation and provide alternatives and recommendations on 

 logistics/maintenance issues and requirements especially with regard to Avionics Systems and Intermediate 

 Level Maintenance Support concepts.

· Assist in the development and management of contract requirements (i.e., statements of work and contract data

 requirements) to support systems engineering/acquisition phases.  The efforts may include the processing of

 Procurement Initiation Document (PIDs) for procurement of hardware/software, labor and technical assists as 

 required.

· Plan and assist with implementing maintenance capability establishment as required to support maintenance

 concepts/requirements to achieve program goals and objectives within budget and life cycle cost.

·Provide analyses and develop strategy for systems/sub-systems lifecycle support for Obsolescence and Diminishing

 Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) challenges.

 

 

Technical Support:

·  Participate in the Configuration Management Process by developing, reviewing and submitting documentation in support

 of Engineering Change Proposals, Configuration Control Board (CCB) Presentations, and Technical Directives.

· Critically evaluate the causes of support related problems and develop appropriate courses of action that balance the

 interests of the program mission and the stakeholders.

·  Participate in risk management processes and early identification of system integration risks.

· Provide analyses on degraders and data gathered from logistics management information systems in the execution of

 logistics and program planning documentation.

·As required, participate in Reliability Control Boards (RCBs), or other readiness initiatives. Support Degrader Action

 Cell (DAC) leads by providing required data and analyses on top degraders.

 

 

Customer Service:

·Interface with DOD, OPNAV, other services/agencies, supply chain managers, the Fleet, Fleet Support Team (FST), field

 activities, test and evaluation organizations, other NAVAIR entities, and contractors in performance of duties and in

 the resolution of issues.

·  Prepare and/or deliver presentations to customers/stakeholders to address support posture and justify logistics

 requirements/implementation.

 

Qualifications Required:

• Must be a U. S. Citizen

• Must have the ability to obtain/hold a Secret security clearance.

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Prior APML or DAPML (Avionics Subsystems) experience

 

The Ideal Candidate will possess:

• USN or USMC Intermediate Level Maintenance experience.

• Sustainment and Acquisition program office experience.

• Extensive background with Logistics/Integrated Product Support practices

  and processes.

• Strong Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills.

• Natural ability for Team building and coordination.

 

Salary Range: $120K to $150K
