GM Designated AIAA Associate Fellow

On 13 January 2014, Joe Davis received recognition as an Associate Fellow in The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). The designation was presented by Dr. Michael Griffin and Dr. Sandra Magnus at the AIAA Science and Technology Forum and Exposition in Washington D.C..

GM Receives International Recognition For Operational Availability

On 19 October 2011, Mr. Joe Davis was presented with SAE International’s Marvin Whitlock Award at the Airbus Delivery Center in Toulouse, France. This award recognizes an individual for significant technical contributions and/or innovation related to operational availability of aircraft. The award, established in 1988 and administered by the SAE Aerospace Council, includes a bronze medal and honorarium. Mr. Davis is only the 18th individual to receive this award since its inception.

Saddle Butte Systems Logisticians Receive NAVAIR Team Recognition

On 22 June 2011, Mr. Joe Davis and Mr. Dutch Freiberger were recipients of the 2011 Commander, Naval Air Systems Command National Award for Logistics and Industrial Operations as part of the Heavy Lift Helicopter Logistics Team. This team award was presented for achieving the Commander’s Guidance through affordable and supportable sustainment solutions that exemplified workforce development and initiative toward life-cycle cost reduction, improved operational support, and acquisition excellence for Heavy Lift and NAVAIR.

On 1 December 2010, Mr. Joe Davis and Mr. Dutch Freiberger were recipients of the 2010 Commander, Naval Air Warfare Center (Aircraft Division) Team Award as part of the CH-53K Product Support IPT. This team award was presented for improving people, current readiness, and future capability within the Naval Aviation Enterprise.


GM Receives National Recognition In Logistics

On April 15, 2010 at the 26th Annual National Logistics Conference, our General Manager was presented with the 2010 National Defense Industrial Associations’s Edward M. Greer Award. The Greer Award is presented annually to an industry individual in recognition of noteworthy contributions or meritorious service to the Department of Defense in the area of integrated logistics support engineering and its implementation in maintenance and product support. The stimulate thought and develop programs which will benefit industry and the public.

The award program encourages solutions to troublesome maintenance problems or to the development of integrated logistics support planning techniques to be employed in their solution. The award is presented in honor of its originator, Edward M. Greer.

Saddle Butte Systems Joins Vertical Lift Consortium

Saddle Butte Systems joins the Vertical Lift Consortium (VLC). The VLC is comprised of more than 70 traditional and nontraditional government contractors, small and large businesses, for-profit and not-for-profit entities, academic organizations, and their affiliated organizations. The VLC provides the Government advice in developing and performing vertical lift aircraft and technologies research and development (including prototype projects) selected by the Government.
